We were exceptionally pleased with John and his team’s work on our home project, which involved replacing 14 cracked, single-paned windows to double-paned high-efficiency windows. The 18th-century house posed a number of challenges and required skill & expertise to which John’s crew was equal. They were clean, courteous, as unobtrusive as possible, and on-time — even on days when afternoon weather would potentially impact the schedule, they even arrived as early as 7am to get in a full workday! The project ran exactly on budget and as scheduled. We would recommend John T. Ambrose Renovations and Remodeling fully and without reservation (in fact, we already have to other possible clients), and we hope to use them again for future renovation projects.

I’ve had a fantastic experience with John and his crew. They epitomize professionalism, craftsmanship, and character. Since our first contact with John to discuss our renovation plans, he has been informative and upfront about every aspect of the job. We are thrilled with the finished product and would certainly not hesitate to recommend John to anyone considering renovations or new construction of any sort!

We hired John after looking hard for a contractor who was fair and we felt we could trust. We were happy with his communication and honesty and openness to working to get exactly what we wanted.
He shared subs that he used, while also being willing to work with our people if we already had them. Shortly after starting design for our kitchen, we had a fire outside our garage, resulting in that being a total loss. Unsure what to do as I watched the firefighters battle the fire, I called John. He rushed over, inspected the damage, got electricians there that night and restored power to our house the next morning. We clearly had picked the right guy.
Throughout the process of the kitchen rebuild and garage repairs, John's workers were timely, clean, skilled and hard working. They were easy to engage with and clearly knew their stuff. John was always available to meet or problem solve if necessary and our kitchen and garage come out better than we could have dreamed. I highly recommend using John for any household needs.

We feel so incredibly lucky to have worked with John and his talented crew. We initially hired them to renovate our kitchen but in the midst of this work, we had a major fire in the garage (completely unrelated to the kitchen project). John really stepped up to help us through a very challenging time. He not only went above and beyond in helping us deal logistically in the aftermath of the fire but also offered us genuine support, empathy and comfort throughout the long recovery process.

John and his crew are very skillful and bring a level of creativity that truly elevated our projects. From start to finish, they were responsive, communicative, and always willing to talk through ideas or concerns. What really stood out, though, was their thoughtful and kind approach — they treated our home and our vision with respect, and it showed in every detail of the work.
They are fair, transparent, and clearly care about doing the job right rather than just getting it done. We truly felt supported throughout the process and are very happy with the final results in both the kitchen and garage rebuild. I would highly recommend John and his crew to anyone looking for a skilled, reliable, and genuinely wonderful human for a general contractor.
